Aka Kawa Hime means ‘small red bark’ and has bright red bark on its bare stems in Winter. The Spring foliage colour of lime green turn golden yellow and then orange late in the season. It grows to 1.5-2m in 10 years. it resembles a small version of Sangu Kaku. Sun/part shade.
