Magnolia

M. Acuminata x M x brooklynensis ‘Eva Maria’. A delightful yellow hybrid, which produces smaller flowers than Yellow Fever but of a darker yellow. The blooms open late, so at a similar time to the leaves and last about a month. Thus they tend to avoid frost damage in areas where late frosts can occur. Grows to a small tree in 10+ years (5-6m).
