Dissectum Japanese Maple

Acer Palmatum

Deep purple-red in colour that holds well in sun or shade better than any other red dissectum. New leaves emerge bright scarlet in the spring and then become dark burgundy. Flaming scarlet is the autumn colour. Compact cascading mound reaching a height of 1.5-2.5m. Best if given protection from cold wind and summer drought.
